Trim Mincraft World

I'm aware that some other Minecraft hosting services offer this function – trimming a Minecraft world based on the inhabited time for the chunks. I suggest incorporating this feature because it's a usual task I perform on my server. However, it's quite tedious; I have to download a backup, extract it, and then utilize an application to trim it. During this process, the server obviously needs to remain offline, and the larger the world size, the more time this task takes up.
