Extracting compressed files

I have so far not ran into any problems except extracting one .7z file.
When I was uploading my maps and plugins I tried just one folder as a .7z file just to see if it would extract and it did. I then compressed everything else into a .7z file and then it wouldn't let me extract the file after it has finally been uploaded (8.37GiB). I then uploaded all the folders compressed individually and it would extract all of them including the largest one being 7.53GiB.

Is there a limit for multiple folders being in a single compressed file or a compressed file size limitation that stopped me?
